The first park to host a Major League night game was Crosley Field in Cincinnati, Ohio. It occured on May 24, 1935. The Reds won the game 2 to 1 against the Philadelphia Phillies. President Franklin Roosevelt actually turned on the lights remotely, from Washington, D.C.
