One of the last survivors from the Titanic, which sank in 1912. Dainton was born in Bournemouth, England in 1911. She was too young to remember the night the Titanic sank, and Dainton avoided publicity associated with the Titanic during her life. Her mother and sister also survived the Titanic sinking, but her father did not.
