Former child actor who co-starred with Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones in the 1994 legal thriller “The Client.” Joel Schumacher, director of ''The Client,'' found Renfro through the Knoxville Police department. Schumacher was looking for a tough kid with an authentic Southern accent. Ten-year-old Renfro fit the part with his history as a troublemaker and recent part in a school play as a drug dealer. For ten years Renfro acted in Hollywood blockbuster films, including the 1998 film “Apt Pupil,” and Independent dramas including “Bully,” playing the part of a vulnerable, inarticulate, alienated youth.
