Best Known as: inventor of the Leukocyte Reduction Filter

David Pall invented the Leukocyte Reduction Filter which makes blood transfusions safer. He also helped develop a filter critical to the Manhattan Project, and improved filter for automobiles, planes, jets, and space crafts. Born in Thunder Bay, Canada, Pall studied physical chemistry at McGill University. Pall received over 181 patents in the field of filtration before his death on September 21, 2004.
