Hutcherson began his acting career in television, including appearances on ER and in the made-for-TV movie House Blend. In 2005 he appeared in a number of films, and played the lead role of Gabe in Little Manhattan. In 2007 he was cast as Jesse in the film adaptation of Bridge to Terabithia.
