HOLTZMAN, Lester, a Representative from New York; born in New York City, June 1, 1913; attended the public schools; graduated from St. John’s Prelaw School; LL.B., St. John’s Law School, Brooklyn, N.Y., 1935; was admitted to the bar in 1935 and began practice in Middle Village, Queens County, N.Y.; elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-third and to the four succeeding Congresses until his resignation on December 31, 1961 (January 3, 1953-December 31, 1961); justice, New York State Supreme Court, 1962-1973; president and chief executive officer of Central Queens Savings and Loan Association; died on November 12, 2002.
