George KREMER, Congress, PA (1775-1854)

KREMER, George, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Middletown, Dauphin County, Pa., November 21, 1775; received a limited schooling; studied law; was admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Lewisburg, Pa.; member of the State house of representatives in 1812 and 1813; elected as a Jackson Republican to the Eighteenth Congress and reelected as a Jacksonian to the Nineteenth and Twentieth Congresses (March 4, 1823-March 3, 1829); died in Middleburg, Snyder County (then a part of Union County), Pa., September 11, 1854; interment in the private burial ground on the family estate near Middleburg, Pa.
