Fugazi is equally well-known for their anti-corporate politics, and for their steadfast refusal to charge big money for their performances. Extra Credit

The band name comes from a military acronym that stands for "Fouled Up, Got Ambushed, Zipped In,” a term denoting a bad situation… In 1998 they made a documentary movie with Jem Cohen called Instrument, a collection of interviews and rehearsal and concert footage.
