Best Known As:
The Victoria's Secret model who is married to Harry Connick, Jr.
Jill Goodacre was the first model to become a celebrity simply by appearing in the Victoria's Secret catalog. Jill Goodacre's auburn-haired good looks made her a favorite with readers of the lingerie catalog in the 1980s and early 1990s. (In those days before the company opened its mall stores, its popular mail-order catalog was its main source of sales.) That led to appearances on the David Letterman show and elsewhere, including a 1994 guest spot on the sitcom Friends in which she was trapped with Chandler (Matthew Perry) in an ATM vestibule. She married the singer and actor Harry Connick, Jr. in 1994. They have three daughters: Georgia (born 1996), Sarah Kate (b. 1997) and Charlotte Jane (b. 2002). She announced in October of 2017 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, a "stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma." She also noted that she was in remission and the prognosis was good.
