Welsh actor Luke Evans has come to be known as a period-piece action hero, thanks to his roles in movies such as The Immortals, The Hobbit and Dracula Untold. A graduate of the London Studio Centre, Evans began his career in singing roles on the English stage. A decade later, he made his first Hollywood screen breakthrough as Apollo in The Clash of the Titans (2010), and followed that with Robin Hood (2010), The Three Musketeers (2011) and The Immortals (2011). His smoldering good looks pushed him into leading man status, and he's since played villains as well as Greek gods. His other roles include bad-guy turns in Fast & Furious 6 (2013, starring Vin Diesel), The Great Train Robbery (2013) and Dracula Untold (2014), as well as Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014).
