Soleil Moon Frye played a spunky orphan in the popular TV series Punky Brewster from 1984-88. The show had an extended life in reruns, making Frye something of a pop culture icon for the '80s generation. (A cartoon version of the show, It's Punky Brewster, also ran for a few seasons.) In the 1990s, Frye's credits included The Liar's Club (1993), the Roger Corman remake Piranha (1995) and Wild Horses (1998), an independent film which she also co-wrote and co-directeed. Frye's 1993 breast-reduction surgery put her on the cover of People magazine. She joined the cast of TV's Sabrina, The Teenage Witch in 2000 as Roxie King. She also voiced the character of Jade in a series of Bratz DVDs. Frye has also directed the documentaries Sonny Boy (2004) and Kid 90, a nostalgic 2021 documentary about her own early years.

Soleil Moon Frye is 5’1″ tall, according to a 2014 story in People magazine… Soleil Moon Frye was married to producer Jason Goldberg from 1998 until their divorce in 2022. They have four children together: daughters Poet Sienna Rose (born 2005) and Jagger Joseph Blue (b. 2008), and sons Lyric Sonny Roads (b. 2014) and Story Indigo Moon (b. 2016). Regarding Jagger’s name, Frye told the Celebrity Baby Blog, “Jagger was a name that we loved from the beginning of the pregnancy. We always wanted to be surprised by the sex and we felt like it was perfect for a boy or a girl.”
