Wayne Allwine was the voice of Mickey Mouse from 1977 to 2009. He started with Disney in 1966 working in the mail room. Eventually, he worked his way up to sound effects and then became Mickey. Allwine was the third person to voice Mickey Mouse—the first was Walt Disney, and the second was Jimmy MacDonald. Allwine's second wife, Russi Taylor, voiced Minnie Mouse. He passed away on May 18, 2009 at the age of 62.
