Amato, Giovanni Antonio d'

Amato, Giovanni Antonio d' (jōvän'nē äntô'nyō dämä'tō) [key], 14751555, Neapolitan painter, called Il Vecchio [the elder]. He imitated the style of Pietro Perugino. Paintings by him are in many churches in Naples, among them the Holy Family in a chapel of San Domenico Maggiore.
