Giunta Pisano

Giunta Pisano jo͞onˈtä pēzäˈnō [key], fl. 1236–1255, Italian painter of Pisa. Among his signed works are three very large depictions of the Crucifixion executed for the churches of San Ranierino, Pisa; Santa Maria degli Angeli, Assisi; and San Domenico, Bologna. He also painted a Crucifixion with the Franciscan Father Elias for the Church of St. Francis at Assisi, which has perished.
