Oh, Sadaharu

Oh, Sadaharu (sä"dähär'OO ō) [key], 1940–, Japanese baseball player. A first baseman for the Tokyo Giants, he retired after 22 seasons with a lifetime total of 868 home runs, outpacing the American major league record (755) of Henry Aaron. Josh Gibson may have hit even more in the Negro Leagues.
