Pachmann, Vladimir de

Pachmann, Vladimir de (vludyē'mir du päkh'män) [key], 18481933, Russian pianist, studied with his father, a violinist, and at the Vienna Conservatory. He devoted himself almost exclusively to playing Chopin's smaller piano pieces, and he was known as a colorful, eccentric performer.
