Senefelder, AloysSenefelder, Aloys (ä'lōüs zā'nufel"dur, ä'lois) [key], 1771–1834, German lithographer, b. Prague. Senefelder invented lithography in Munich c.1796. In 1818 he published a full account of the nature and the history of his invention. The English translation, A Complete Course of Lithography, appeared in 1819.
