Anathoth

Anathoth (ăn'uthoth, –thōth) [key], in the Bible. 1. Town, NE of Jerusalem, near the modern Anata, West Bank. It was the home of Jeremiah. Its adjective is Antothite, Anetothite, Anathotite. 2. Chief of the people.
