East Moline

East Moline mōlēnˈ [key], city (2020 pop. 20,393), Rock Island co., NW Ill., a suburb of Moline, on the Mississippi River; inc. 1907. East Moline, along with Moline, Rock Island, and Davenport, Iowa, was formerly regarded as one of the Quad Cities, but the growth of Bettendorf, Iowa, resulted in its displacing East Moline from the group. Near East Moline are significant railroad repair shops. The city has a correctional center.
