Quonset Point

Quonset Point kwŏnˈsĭt [key], peninsula extending into Narragansett Bay, S R.I., in the town of North Kingstown. In World War II the peninsula became the site of a naval air station and construction battalion (Seabee) center; the Quonset hut was developed there. It is now a business park with a seaport and airport.
