Atlin LakeAtlin Lake (ăt'lin) [key], long, irregular mountain lake, c.300 sq mi (780 sq km), NW British Columbia, Canada, touching the Yukon Territory boundary. It is the source of the Yukon River. The town of Atlin is on the east shore and is the headquarters of the Atlin dist., a region in which there is both placer and quartz gold mining. The region is noted for its scenery and its hunting.
