Butuan

Butuan (bOOtOO'än) [key], city (1990 pop. 172,489), capital of Agusan del Norte prov., NE Mindanao, the Philippines. It is a port on the Agusan River near its mouth at Butuan Bay. It is an outlet for the fertile Agusan River valley.
