Cape Dezhnev

Cape Dezhnev dĕzhˈnəf, Russ. dyāshˈnyəf [key] or East Cape, northeasternmost point of Asia, Russian Far East, on Chukchi Peninsula and on the Bering Strait. It is named after Semyon Dezhnev, the Russian navigator who explored it in 1648.
