Clydebank

Clydebank, town, West Dunbartonshire, W central Scotland, on the north bank of the Clyde River. The chief industry until the 1970s was shipbuilding. The ocean liners Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth were built there. Manufactures have developed to include offshore oil rigs and other equipment for the oil industry.
