Cossimbazar

Cossimbazar kəsĭmˈbəzärˌ [key], town, West Bengal state, E central India, part of the Kolkata (Calcutta) metropolitan area. Cossimbazar was a chief overseas port of Bengal (16th–18th cent.); afterward Kolkata surpassed it.
