Glamorgan

Glamorgan (glumôr'gun) [key]or Glamorganshire (–shir", –shur) [key], former county, S Wales. In 1974, Glamorgan was divided among the nonmetropolitan counties of West Glamorgan, Mid Glamorgan, and South Glamorgan; these were abolished in a further reorganization in 1996.
