Hamamatsu

Hamamatsu (hämä'mätsOO) [key], city (1990 pop. 534,620), Shizuoka prefecture, S central Honshu, Japan. An important transportation hub, its chief products are motorcycles, musical instruments, textiles, and tea. Hamamatsu was a castle town in the 16th cent.
