KakinadaKakinada (kukinä'du) [key]or Cocanada (kōkunä'du) [key], town (1991 pop. 327,541), Andhra Pradesh state, SE India, on the Godavari River delta. A coastal trading port on the Bay of Bengal, it is now a district administrative center and a market for sugarcane, peanuts, tobacco, cotton, and iron ore.
