Menzel Bourguiba

Menzel Bourguiba (menzel' burgē'bu) [key]or Manzil Abu Ruqaybah (mănzil' äbOO' rOO"kībä') [key], formerly Ferryville, town (1994 pop. 47,521), N Tunisia, on Lake Bizerte. It was founded as a naval installation during the period of French rule. After Tunisia became independent (1956), it was renamed in honor of Habib Bourguiba, Tunisia's leader.
