Sevastopol

Sevastopol (sivăs'tupōl", Rus. sye"vustô'pul) [key], formerly spelled Sebastopol, city (1989 pop. 355,000), in Ukraine, on the Crimean peninsula and the Bay of Sevastopol, an inlet of the Black Sea.
