Shirbarghan

Shirbarghan (shērbär'gän) [key], city (1981 est. pop. 19,500), capital of Jozjan (Jowzjan) prov., N Afghanistan. It is a market for agricultural produce and Karakul lamb skins and is the site of an ancient citadel.
