Thingvallavatn

Thingvallavatn (thēng'gvät"lävä"tun) [key], Icelandic Þingvallavatn, lake, c.35 sq mi (90 sq km), SW Iceland, E of Reykjavík. It is Iceland's largest lake. On its north shore is historic Thingvellir.
