Emmy Award-winning telelvision and film actor best known for his role as the suave, mustachioed private investigator Thomas Magnum on Magnum, P.I. (1980–88). His films include Three Men and a Baby (1987) and its sequel, Three Men and a Little Lady (1990) and In & Out (1997). He returned to television in 1996, appearing in several episodes of Friends and his own series, The Closer (1998).
