Mariel Hemingway

actress
Born: 11/22/1961

Competent actress, granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway and younger sister of actress/model Margaux Hemingway, Mariel was almost destined to a life in the public eye. She debuted with Margaux in Lipstick (1976), then went on to a prolific (if not commercially successful) film career, including such films as Woody Allen's Manhattan (1979), Personal Best (1982), Star 80 (1983) playing Dorothy Stratton, Creator and The Mean Season (both 1985). She donned the producer's hat while appearing in The Suicide Club (1987), and increasingly turned to television in the 1990s, starring in the series Civil Wars (1991–93), Central Park West (1995), and as Maria Shriver in the TV movie, See Arnold Run (2005).
