Louis X

Louis X, Fr. Louis le Hutin (lwē lu ütâN') [key][the quarrelsome], 12891316, king of France (1314–16), son and successor of Philip IV. His reign was dominated by his uncle, Charles of Valois, and was distinguished by his concessions to the barons in the form of charters. The death soon after birth of his posthumous son and successor, John I, opened the succession to Philip V.
