Fou Drunk

“Wilbraham has fou-drunk”—i.e. is despicably drunk, dead drunk. French, fou, “mad,” as fou-enragé; or simply fu', i.e. “full,” “intensive,” as in full-oft, “full-well ye reject the commandment of God” (Mark vii. 9).
