Greyhound
“A greyhounde shoulde be heded like a snake, And neked like a
Drake; Foted like a Kat, Tayled like a Rat; Syded like a Teme, Chyned
like a Beme.” (Dame Berner.)
“Syded like a teme,” probably means both sides alike; a plough-team
being meant.
Greyhound
A public-house sign, in honour of Henry VII., whose badge it
was.
