Jubal
[a trumpet ]. The son of Lamech and Adah. He is called
the inventor of the lyre and flute (Gen. iv. 19-21).
Then when he [Javan ] heard the voice of Jubal's lyre,
Instinctive genius caught the ethereal fire.
