OeneusOeneus (ēˈnēəs) [key], in Greek mythology, king of Calydon and father of Meleager. When Oeneus forgot to dedicate the fruits of his first crop to Artemis, she terrorized his kingdom with a wild boar, which was killed in the Calydonian hunt.
