Adalbert, Saint

Adalbert, Saint ădˈəlbərt [key], 956–97, bishop of Prague, b. Bohemia. He was a missionary in Russia, Prussia, and Poland and was martyred in Danzig. He is patron of Bohemia and Poland. Feast: Apr. 23.
