Jean Antoine de Baïf

Baïf, Jean Antoine de (zhäN äNtwänˈ də bäēfˈ) [key], 1532–89, French poet of the Pléiade (see under Pleiad). He wrote sonnets, didactic and satirical poems, and plays.
