Louis Maurice Boutet de Monvel

Boutet de Monvel, Louis Maurice (lwē mōrēsˈ bōtāˈ də môNvĕlˈ) [key], 1851–1913, French painter and illustrator. His fame rests chiefly on his decorative illustrations for children's books and his charming watercolors, e.g., Chansons et rondes pour les enfants, Chansons de France, La Vie de Jeanne d'Arc, and Nos Enfants.
