Taylor Caldwell

Caldwell, Taylor (Janet Taylor Caldwell), 1900–1985, American novelist, b. London, England. Her best-selling works ranged from romance to satire to fictionalized biography, often reflecting her Christian beliefs. They include Dynasty of Death (1938), The Captain and the Kings (1972), Glory and the Lightning (1974), and Answer as a Man (1981). She also wrote under the pseudonym Max Reiner.
