Gillett, Ezra Hall

Gillett, Ezra Hall jəlĕtˈ [key], 1823–75, American Presbyterian clergyman and historian, b. Colchester, Conn. After serving (1845–70) as pastor in Harlem, New York City, he became professor of political science in the Univ. of the City of New York (now New York Univ.). He began the McAlpin Collection of British history and theology for the library of Union Theological Seminary. His books include The Life and Times of John Huss (1863).
