Maher-shalal-hash-baz (māˈər-shălˈəl-hăsh-băz) [key] [Heb., = the spoil speeds, the prey hastens], in the Bible, name of Isaiah's son, symbolizing hope for Judah during the Assyrian attack on Damascus and Samaria.
