Moncton, University of

Moncton, University of, at Moncton, N.B., Canada; French language; founded 1864 as St. Joseph's Univ. Its name was changed in 1963. It has faculties of arts, sciences and engineering, business administration, education, social sciences, and graduate studies as well as schools of law, nursing, and home economics. There is a center for Acadian studies. The school of forestry is at Saint-Louis-Mallet.
