Clairton, city (1990 pop. 9,656), Allegheny co., SW Pa., an industrial suburb of Pittsburgh, on the Monongahela River; settled 1770, inc. 1903. Building materials, plastics, machinery, and coke products are manufactured. Coal mines are in the area.
