IntroductionFlorida (flôrˈĭdə, flŏrˈ–) [key], state in the extreme SE United States. A long, low peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean (E) and the Gulf of Mexico (W), Florida is bordered by Georgia and Alabama (N).
