Hornell

Hornell (hôrnĕlˈ) [key], city (1990 pop. 9,877), Steuben co., SW N.Y., on the Canisteo River; settled 1790, inc. 1906. A trade and rail center with railroad shops and related industries, Hornell also produces electric and electronic equipment and woven synthetic fabrics.
