Al Aziziyah

Al Aziziyah (äl äzēzēˈyä) [key] or Azizia ăzĭzēˈä, town, NW Libya, near Tripoli. It is a major trade center of the Jifarah plain. Al Aziziyah was long considered to have recorded the highest shade temperature on earth, 136°F (57.8°C), in 1922, but that record was disqualified in 2012 by the World Meteorological Organizaton.
